Overview

The roots of winemaking in Sicily are truly ancient, arriving on the island with Greek settlers as early as the 8th century BCE. These new city states sought to establish a new frontier for Magna Graecia, a western outpost for the civilized world and those things inherently Greek. Their decision to cultivate vineyards and produce wine, the very life blood of normal Greek life and every social gathering, would forever change the landscape and the development of wine of Italy.

Everything works in harmony here—the sun, the rich minerality of the soil, the Mediterranean perfumes brought inland by cool, maritime breezes—to create wines loaded with character, wines that celebrate the local terroir. The estate’s natural farming program underlines its respect for the land and its choice to pursue a model of sustainable development that is designed to safeguard the natural resources found on the estate. Bright and vibrant, these are some of the best value wines to be found in Western Sicily, wines that are fresh and food friendly.
